Christmas Handprint Ornaments

I am always looking for fun, different gift ideas for grandparents. Last year Jamie had this darling idea for making these cute hand print reindeer. LOVED them and I love having them on my tree. Seeing the tiny hand print of my then 3 month old is so fun. I just wished that I would have made one for her grandparents. That is why I thought this would be so much fun.

What you will need:
some acrylic paint
plain ornaments
a marker to write the name of the child and the year for the hand print

I just painted each of the girl's hands and had them wrap their fingers around a plain ornament. Too cute!

I did one in a red and one green. I wrote the name and year on each ornament.
I can't wait to have the grandparents open these. I am dying at how cute they turned out!
Merry Christmas!

  4. I did something similar to this when my first child was very young. I purchased plain white sweatshirts for everyone in my family, and then I had my son (less than 2 years old at the time) put hand prints all over the shirts. Then we put a different color paint on his feet and had him walk across the shirts too.

You could do this on large pieces of fabric to make pillows for relatives also.
